1. Information We Collect

When you register, we collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (if provided)
  • Password (stored securely hashed)

We also collect usage data including search queries, listing views, IP addresses, and browser information for compliance and audit purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide access to property listings
  • To communicate with you about your account and inquiries
  • To comply with PROPTX VOW Datafeed audit requirements
  • To improve the Site

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your Personal Information may be collected, used, and disclosed in the following ways:

  • PropTx Inc. — Your Personal Information, including your name, email address, phone number, and Site usage data, may be shared with PropTx for the purposes of auditing compliance with VOW rules and policies, legal proceedings related to misuse of listing data, and verifying the lawful broker-consumer relationship
  • PropTx Members and their duly authorized representatives — Other PropTx member brokerages may access account and usage data as part of compliance verification and monitoring of Members' Listings
  • Service providers — Third parties who assist in operating the Site (hosting, email delivery, analytics)
  • Legal authorities — When required by law, court order, or in connection with legal proceedings

By using this Site, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account. Consumer records (name, email address, username, and password) are retained for not less than 180 days after account expiry or password expiry, as required by PropTx VOW policy. Search and activity logs are retained as required for audit and compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; however, certain records must be retained to comply with PropTx requirements.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted passwords, HTTPS encryption, and access controls.

6. PIPEDA Compliance

RCIB Real Estate Limited, Brokerage is committed to complying with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and all applicable Canadian privacy legislation. We collect, use, and disclose your personal information only for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy, and only with your knowledge and consent. We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal information held by RCIB
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of your personal information and account
  • Withdraw your consent to the collection or use of your personal information
